Just hours after ranting about the lack of US anti-aircraft artillery available from GHQ I started working on designing a Patriot Launcher in 285th scale. Here is the beginning of the drawing.
I’m going to play around with this design very slowly, hoping that GHQ beats me to it. They have a surprise November release coming that some people predict will be a Patriot or a THAAD … here’s hoping they are right.
Nice idea…^^
On the Euro side we could use some GHQ SAMP if they ever decide to do some.

If you make these and you sell them, I will buy them. I was about to spend $120 at shapeways for a SA-10 battery and BTN command https://www.shapeways.com/model/1385009/sa-10-grumble-battery-1-285-6mm.html?li=cart&materialId=61 and https://www.shapeways.com/model/1400750/sa10-grumble-bat-comand-1-285-6mm.html?li=cart&materialId=61. Ever since I saw the model you made of the HEMTT with the spare patriot magazine in the bed I was really hoping you’d go all out and make the whole patriot system, radar and all.

Ben, I’m a little suspicious that they only show rendered 3D models of those pieces … not actual finished product. Shapeways is great for some things, but when you get down to 285th scale vehicles you are really pushing the limits of their “Frosted Ultra Detail” (MJM) process. I’d be real hesitant to buy something like that, especially at that price, without some photos of the finished, printed product. This is why I’m currently saving for an SLA machine.
