Here are the first pieces from the master mold. I’ll pick the best 4 or 5 and really clean them up nicely and add a little more detail to them and then make the production mold from those pieces. Getting close…..
I made this using a GHQ M1083 FMTV chassis (GHQ #N129) with the bed from a HEMTT (Ghq #N95) and then mounted a .50 cal on the roof and two M249 SAWs in the bed along with an 81mm mortar for a little extra boom. Scraps of sheet metal were added around the rear of the bed to protect the mortar crew.
The model looks real good. There is an issue with how the cab fits but it’s easily fixed with a little filing. I’ll make a post on the fix sometime later.
