Doing a little good old fashioned hand carving so I can add landing gear and gear doors to my C-17.
This is a great way to keep your turrets from falling off and still maintaining the ability to rotate the turrets.
Step 2: Drill a hole for the magnet. The hold should be drilled just deep enough so that the drill bit is just starting to drill at it’s specified diameter (just beyond the angled tip)
I’ve got a pretty nice size batch of micro armor that I need to get painted. This batch includes some new GHQ BTR-T (#W90), I’ll probably wait to paint them until I get some 30mm canons from GHQ to replace the MGs that they currently have. I’m trying to get some of the BTR-80/A turrets that have the 30mm autocanon on them to convert these BTR-Ts.
All of the Abrams on the right side of the photo are the TUSK version, the ones on the left are M1A2s that have been upgraded with the TUSK bits on the top of the turret but not the extra armor on the sides of the chassis.
I went a little crazy on an M-ATV (GHQ #N535). I started by putting a TOW launcher (from the M1134 Stryker AT GHQ #N503) on it. I know this probably has never been done in reality but I thought it was pretty cool anyway…. and heck, it’s my Army 🙂 Then I did all the antennas and then added some brass rear mud flaps.
