Water Tower Done

I finished my Damascus water tower model. It’s not a terribly exciting piece but it will make a nice objective piece.
This is not something I’ll be offering through my company, I just made this one for myself. If you want one, I uploaded a 3D CAD file to Shapeways and you can order one there if you want.

Something I’m working on … and a stupid question

I saw this photo of a tower in Damascus Syria and thought it would be a really cool piece of scenery to make for my middle east games. So, here it is almost done and wearing it’s first coat of primer.

So, here’s the stupid question; Does anyone know what it is? My best guess would be some sort of memorial or monument or maybe one of those towers with speakers at the top that do the daily call to prayer thing. But it seems like a lot of work (and concrete) for a speaker tower.

Airport Terminal

Tonight I finished up my Airport Terminal building with Control Tower.  This is something I wanted for small airports and I’m making it available as a kit on the gcmini.com website.

285th Scale Temple Compound

I just finished this model.  It’s a new kit from GameCraft.  I’m really happy with the way it turned out.

Finished My Aircraft Hangar Today

Just got this piece finished today.  It will be available as a kit from GameCraft as kit #285CSS154

A few new terrain pieces

I guess I’m sort of known for large terrain pieces (after all I did build an Eiffel Tower in 1/285th scale) and when I build pieces in 285th scale, they are actually 285th scale … not some “that looks right” scale that is in between vehicle scale and ground scale.  So here are two more pieces I’m working on, a wharfside container crane and a vehicle bridge,,, pieces for two different projects.  I’ll probably do two more of the cranes for a total of three.
