I’m not a big fan of basing vehicles … but in the case of these miniatures it’s kinda required. Also the firing battery will always be used as single unit.

Update to the GHQ Puma IFV post
With the help of my friend Steve C. we got some measurements to compare the GHQ Puma with the actual vehicle. The dimensions for the actual vehicle are from Wikipedia and I assume they are pretty accurate.
Notes: The height measurement from the GHQ model is from the ground to the top of the turret. The width dimension for the actual vehicle is the up-armored version.
Key:
Column B = actual model dimensions in inches
Column C = model dimensions multiplied by 285
Column F = Actual vehicle dimensions in inches
Column H = Difference between GHQ’s model and actual vehicle
Conclusion:
It seems that the GHQ model is just a little bit too long (9.34 scale inches), WAY TOO wide (33 scale inches too wide) and WAY TOO tall (37.55 scale inches too tall).

Getting a little behind in my painting
I’ve got a pretty nice size batch of micro armor that I need to get painted. This batch includes some new GHQ BTR-T (#W90), I’ll probably wait to paint them until I get some 30mm canons from GHQ to replace the MGs that they currently have. I’m trying to get some of the BTR-80/A turrets that have the 30mm autocanon on them to convert these BTR-Ts.
All of the Abrams on the right side of the photo are the TUSK version, the ones on the left are M1A2s that have been upgraded with the TUSK bits on the top of the turret but not the extra armor on the sides of the chassis.
Modified M-ATV
I went a little crazy on an M-ATV (GHQ #N535). I started by putting a TOW launcher (from the M1134 Stryker AT GHQ #N503) on it. I know this probably has never been done in reality but I thought it was pretty cool anyway…. and heck, it’s my Army 🙂 Then I did all the antennas and then added some brass rear mud flaps.
