Tonight I’m working on a design for the Olympic Hotel from the movie Blackhawk Down. This should go very nicely with my “Target Building” model.
This week on “In The Game Room” I teach Chris to play TAC II and he proceeds to kick my ass.
(watch on YouTube in 720p HD format for best look)
Chris and I had a very fun game today. We played 5 turns in about 2 hours time. This was Chris’ first time playing so there was a more than normal amount of explaining rules going in but still we managed to move things along nicely and somehow (beginners luck, I’m sure) Chris managed to beat me. Good times.
(Photos are in no particular order)
Tomorrow I will be playing TAC II with my friend Chris and we will be filming the game for a tutorial video I’m doing for In The Game Room. The board is all set up and the cameras are in place. I’m looking forward to tomorrow.
If all goes well the video demo will be a two camera shoot with the main camera shooting straight across the table at the two players and another camera mounted on the ceiling looking almost straight down on the board. The overhead camera will be the main view with the player view being a “picture in picture” window overlaid over the main video.
In this episode you get to meet my friend and new co-host, Chris and get to know more about both of us as gamers. We go way back and talk about how we got our starts in gaming and how it led us to where we are today. Chris asks me about how I turned my hobby into a successful full time business. We talk about his brief love affair with Robotech and his new found love for Flames of War. I go on a rant about miniatures scale and I talk a little bit about some new projects I’ve been working on.
So, strap in,,, it’s a 44 minute ride and I hope it’s half as fun for you as it was for us.
A short video on preparing metal miniatures for painting.
When I first started making the T-14 Armata, I painted up 3 or of them for myself. A few days later a customer ordered 5 or 6 packs of them (25-30 total) …. well as the guy that makes these models I could not have a someone else having more of them than me … so I painted up 27 more tonight 🙂

Got them assembled and painted with Russian Armor Green and then drybrushed with 50/50 mix of Russian Armor Green and Flat White. Then a quick blackwash. Tomorrow I’ll add the weathering powder to finish them. I think they’ll look fine. Right now they look very dark ,,, but most Russian tanks do look very dark.
